I just saw this on TV and thought it looked delicious. I’m definitely making this when the family comes for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Amish cinnamon bread
Preheat oven to 325
Equipment- 2 - 8 1/2”x4 1/2” loaf pans
Dry ingredients
3 3/4 c ap flour
3 c sugar
1 Tbl ground cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
Wet ingredients
3 eggs
1 3/4 c whole milk
1 1/3 c veg oil
2 tsp vanilla
To assemble:
2 tsp oil
Cinnamon sugar
1/2 c sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
Mix dry ingredients together. Mix wet ingredients together. Mix wet ingredients into dry until well combined, but there may still be some lumps.
Prepare pans:
Brush the insides of 2 - 8 1/2”x4 1/2” loaf pans with 2 tsps veg oil (1 tsp/pan) and coat bottoms and sides with 4 tbl cinnamon sugar (2 tbl/pan).
Pour batter into prepared pans, top with remaining cinnamon sugar, and bake at 325 for 65-70 minutes or until a paring knife, inserted in the center, comes out mostly clean. Cool in the pan on a wire rack for at least 1 hour. Run a knife around the sides of the pan and turn out. Slice with a serrated knife.
