Mulled Wine

2 Cups water
1 Cup sugar
4 sticks cinnamon
4 cloves
2 lemons, thinly sliced
2 bottles dry red wine

Boil water with sugar and spices for 5 minutes. Add lemon, cover and let stand 10 minutes. Add wine & heat slowly (do not boil). Strain & serve.
